Hi Everyone! I am Dóri, I'm going to be your guide today. 
Together we will go on an adventure in Szentendre, the jewelry box of the Danube Bend. 

The focus of the tour is the wine culture! But we will have a glimpse at the history of the town as well as listen to some local stories and will walk around the most picturesque parts of the town! 

The tour will last about an hour and a half.

Wine-ding through History: Szentendre's highlights, History, & Wine Walk

Known in Hungarian as Fő tér this is the most important area of Szentendre and the starting point of our Szentendre walking tour.

Szentendre Main Square

This Roman Catholic Parish Church is the oldest and the most important monument of the city, with its history that dates back to the 13th century. While it was completely ruined by the Ottoman occupation, was reconstructed in the 18th century.

Church Hill

The center of the former Dalmatian quarter, is another important square part of our tour. Its history is narrated by our guide. 

Rab Ráby Square

Located in one of the most beautiful areas of the town, where you can have a splendid view of the city, you can find the Tanners' Cross. Erected by tanners from Bosnia in the 18th century, its decoration on the top appears to symbolize the Danube.

Tanners' Cross

Constructed from 1741 until 1746, this is the home of the Museum of Eparchy of Buda. Its facade is decorated by four doric pilasters.
