Aveiro Highlights Walking Tour

The Aveiro Train Station is the perfect start for our Aveiro walking tour and for your visit to the city. Completed in 1916, it features spectacular blue azulejos made at the Fábrica da Fonte Nova and depict traditional scenes from around Aveiro and the region.

This is where you can get a view of the Moliceiros, colorfully painted boats typical of Aveiro. The Moliceiros were originally built to harvest seaweed in the lagoon and used then as a fertilizer.

Cais dos Moliceiros do Aveiro

This small and lovely square is where the old Aveiro Town hall is located. It's also where the iconic Igreja da Misericordia Church is situated. You will notice it from the rising façade decorated in classic Portuguese tiles.
