My name is Ana, I am a local and a Licensed Tour Guide and I will take you around one of the most charming places on Lisbon's coastline - the old fishermen's village of Cascais!
On this approx. 1h tour, you will discover the origin of the name, some of the History, and curiosities related to Monarchs and Noble families who have been here for a long time.

Charming Cascais

The Cascais Lighthouse, or Farol de Santa Marta, is one of the most iconic landmarks of the city. From here, you can also start a nice walk up to the famous Boca do Inferno.

Boca do Inferno is one of the most popular activities that tourists and locals do in the city. It's a sea arch and cliff formation that offers spectacular shows.

Marechal Carmona Park is the most beautiful park in the city and home to important buildings, including Chapel São Sebastião, which survived the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. It's the perfect place if you want to take a relaxing break.

Cascais has some wonderful beaches, and we recommend Praia da Rainha as one of the stops of our tours. From here you will easily get to the city center and continue your visit.

Overlooking the city of Cascais is its citadel, a fortress built between the 15th and 17th centuries. It was part of a fortification system to protect Lisbon but later was transformed into the summer residence of the royal family.
