Old Church

The magnificent Old Church, or Oude Kerk in Dutch, it's a main landmark of the city and part of our Delft walking tours. It was built along an older canal, which was then filled to make room for the church tower.

New Church

The New Church, Nieuwe Kerk, is probably the most popular landmark in the city. It's the burial place for William of Orange, along with members of the Dutch royal family. The tower offers a spectacular 360-degree view of the city.

Delft University of Technology

The Delft University of Technology is the oldest and largest Dutch public technical university and is among the top ten Engineering and Technology universities in the world. It was founded in 1842 and has almost 25,000 students.

Botanical garden

Part of the University of Technology of Delft is the Botanical Garden, the largest indoor space in the center of the city. It features a beautiful selection of flowers and plants in greenhouses.

Vermeer Center

This small museum in the center of the city is dedicated to Johannes Vermeer, one of the most famous painters in the Netherlands. Despite most of Vermeer's masterpieces being located in the most famous museums all over the world, this center contains reproductions, and it's more than worth a visit.

Beestenmarkt

This area was initially used as a monastery and, from the late 1500s, as an animal market, from which the name derives. In the 1990s, it saw a great restoration, and now it's a charming square with restaurants and shops.

Eastern Gate

The Eastern Gate, or Oostpoort in Dutch, is the starting point of our Delft walking tours. It was part of an old city wall around Delft built across the 15th and 16th centuries. It has been restored in the 1960s and is currently private property.

City Hall
