👉 What is Around?

Around is a self-guided walking tours platform crafted by local experts. Each tour is composed of different stops and for each one you get an audio description created by the expert. You will also get directions from one stop to another as if you were guided by the creator itself. Once the tour has started, Around will guide you towards the first stage of it: however, with Around you are free to start from any stage!

👉 What is the Around Pass?

The Around Pass is our best solution for people that want to take more than one tour, without paying the full price. With the Around Pass you get access to all tours on Around for all cities, for 1, 3, 7 or 14 days, without limits and with the greatest value for money. To activate the pass you simply have to start one of the tours. Just make sure to activate the pass when you need it, as it will expires exactly 1, 3, 7 or 14 days after activation, depending on the pass purchased.

👉 How does the tour work?

After purchasing a pass, you can start one of our tours whenever you want, at any time: you can access it multiple times as long as the pass is valid. If you want to interrupt the tour halfway, no problem! A tour can be resumed anytime. Just go to the tour page, make sure you are logged in, and start it with the button at the bottom of the page.

👉 How can I listen to the guide?

You can listen to the audio of each itinerary stop as soon as you reach its location: tap on the orange button that becomes visible as you approach the pin to open the audio popup.

Alternatively, if you can't get any closer to the destination or the orange button isn't available, you can achieve the same outcome by clicking on the bottom card while you're following the directions to the stop.

You can listen to each audio as many times as you want.

👉 How to be sure Around works at its best?

We recommend using Chrome or Safari and have them updated to the latest version. Around works with all kind of browsers but Chrome and Safari ensure a smoother experience. We also recommend updating your operating system (Android or iOS) to the latest version so to benefit from all the features Around offers.

👉 Does Around work for groups?

Sure! If more people want to tour together, they need to register at Around and buy the same tour, so that you can listen to the audio guide together. If you are a large group, you can benefit from a group discount. Just contact us on support@around.tours.

👉 Activate location on iPhone

Make sure location tracking for your device is turned on.

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Make sure Location Services is on.
Find the browser you use to visit Around (Chrome or Safari Websites) among the list of apps.
Tap the app and select either “While using the app” or "Always."
If you are using Safari, go back to Settings > Safari > Location > Allow
Then, refresh the tour page (applies even if you launch the tour again).

👉 Activate location on Android

Make sure location tracking for your device is turned on. We suggest using Around on Chrome browser.

To enable location on Chrome, do the following:
On the right of the address bar, tap More (three dots) > Settings > Site settings > Location. Turn Location on.
If you did not give your consent, also go to “blocked authorization” > Click on around.tours > Allow
Return to around.tours map, refresh the page, and authorize the website
If it does not work, go to Settings > Apps > Chrome > Authorizations > Toggle on the location setting and refresh again the around.tours map.

If the problem persists, please contact us.

👉 I would like to become a creator: it's possible?

Yes! To become an Around Creator, contact us at our email address support@around.tours.

👉 How many languages are available on Around?

All tours are available in English. Some tours are available in other languages as well, like Italian or Spanish. If you have any question, simply contact us at support@around.tours. More languages will be available soon!

👉 How do I leave a review?

When you complete the tour you have the possibility to leave a feedback. This will contribute to the rating of the tour as well as to improve the quality of the platform and the tour itself if you have any constructive feedback to share.

If you want to leave a review even if you don't complete the tour (for instance because you skipped a stop) please contact us at support@around.tours.

👉 Does Around work without internet connection?

Yes, it does. You can download the tour you're taking with a dedicated button available during the experience. To see it, start the tour while within the city. We recommend carrying out the download over Wi-Fi.
