Hi everyone, my name is Natalie, and on this tour, I'll take you around my current hometown of Leuven. Leuven is one of the historical Flemish Art Cities, but it receives a lot fewer tourists than Bruges, Brussels, Ghent, or Antwerp. While it is a smaller city, it has all of the typical Flemish heritage: an impressive gothic city hall, many medieval churches and monasteries, and 2 beguinages. But, in addition Leuven also has one of the oldest universities in Europe. The university buildings and the students are all over the city and have made this historical city also a very innovative place.
