Hello, my name is Leticia and I'm official licensed guide and I love guiding in Toledo, the old Imperial Capital, do you come with me? In this tour, we will discover together the origins of the city from Carpetanians to the Christians through the Romans, Jews, Visigoths, Muslims... Try to imagine its astonishing history. My reccomendation is to take a cab to the Mirador del Valle to admire the view of the city, and then take the cab back to Sain Martin Brigde, where the walking tour will start. If you don't have time, you can skip this stop and start directly at the Sain Martin bridge. From the Saint Martin bridge you will enter the Jewish quarter in which highlights the San Juan de los Reyes monastery and the only survivor synagogues, Santa María la Blanca and the Tránsito one (current Sephardic museum). Continuing in the same area, the relationship with el Greco has an important presence through the Greco museum and the painting of the Burial of the Lord of Orgaz in the Santo Tomé Church. Next place to visit is the Salvador Church in the border of the Jewish quarter. Step by step the visit goes to the Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary to finish on the other side of Toledo, in Zocodover square along with the Alcázar. The tour will last about 2.5h, not including breaks or visits that you can do on your own.
